So I spun my way through Gears of Horus by Pragmatic, hoping to unlock some ancient treasures with a techy twist. I ran 200 spins at $1.00 each, and while the theme was cool—Egyptian gods mixed with mechanical gears—the gameplay didn’t exactly crank out the riches.
I managed to hit the bonus round twice, which kept things from feeling totally cursed. My biggest bonus round win was $57.95.
“Bonus rounds came, but man, they were kinda weak. My best payout was $57.95, which was decent but not mind-blowing.”
In the base game, my biggest hit was $4.95, which is just a 4.95x multiplier.
“Honestly, the base game felt pretty dry. Just small wins here and there, nothing too exciting.”
Lots of spinning, not a lot of winning—but hey, at least the animations looked slick.
At the end of the session, I ended up losing $61.70 overall. Not the worst I’ve had, but definitely not the golden haul I was after. Gears of Horus felt like it wanted to pay, but just never quite clicked into place. I might give it another shot sometime—those bonus rounds have potential.
